Supervisor Baca was honored to presented certificates to San Bernardino Police Department Staff at the San Bernardino Headquarters.
Officer Sinclair was specially honored at an event on January 12, 2022 for her great work and for being able to singlehandedly detain a robbery suspect without incident. Officer Sinclair has been with SBPD for less than 1 year.
San Bernardino Staff that was also honored at the event:

Arrowhead Medical Center has partnered with the Southland Farmers Market association to bring the ARMC Farmers Market to Colton every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

 Additions made at Kessler Park Recently:
- A new generator was placed to power the Little League pitching machines.
- New seeded infield grass on Field 2.
- Placement of fresh slurry seal to entire Kessler Park parking lot.
- Installation of BBQ Grills alongside trash and coal receptacles.
Although the has been CLOSED for operations it is being used by the County of San Bernardino Department of Public Health to administer COVID-19 tests, vaccines, boosters, and flu shots.

Fishing all Year Round!
Glen Helen Regional Park has two lakes and year-round fishing. The Park stocks trout from November to April and Catfish from May to September. The most recent stock date was January 27, 2022 with a stock of 799 pounds of trout in Large Lake.
Supervisor Joe Baca Jr. Teaming up with Never Stop Grinding on their Free Dental and Vision services Event.
Supervisor Joe Baca Jr. is excited to be joining Darious Harris, the founder of Never Stop Grinding (NSG), to host the third free dental and vision services event. This event is meant to serve those who need exams, cleanings, fillings and extraction, full eye exams and free prescription glasses, all at no pocket cost to participants. The event is open to the public and will have dentists and optometrists on site. Spaces are limited, so we please urge you to apply promptly as walk-ins will not be accepted.

Approved: Budget Adjustment for the California Office of the Small Business Advocate for the Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant Program.
 Actions for the COVID-19 Relief Grant Program includes:
Supervisorial District approval of the distribution of Microbusiness COVID-19 relief grant awards that provide eligible microbusinesses that face systematic barriers with access to capital that can be used for the purchase of new certified business equipment, investment in working capital, renewal of local permits to operate, payment of business debt accrued during the Pandemic and costs resulting from business interruptions or closures due to the Pandemic and related health and safety restrictions.
- For this grant: A microbusiness is a business with fewer than 5 full-time employees, from the tax year 2019 and 2020.
- The Grant will provide disbursements of $2,500.00 to approximately 1,025 eligible microbusinesses that have been impacted by COVID-19.
To qualify, a business must meet all CalOSBA Grant Program requirements.

All Municipal Advisory Council (MACs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) will automatically dissolve upon the effective date of the ordinance establishing new Supervisorial Districts resulting from the 2021 Redistricting Process. The terms of all seated MAC and Advisory Committees members will also expire as of the date. The first available Board of Supervisors meeting where individuals may be appointed to the reestablished MAC/ ACs is February 08, 2022. Once these members are appointed, the relevant District offices then may coordinate to reestablish future MAC / AC meetings.

The San Bernardino County Rent Relief Partnership (SBCRRP) is no longer accepting applications for rent relief, but instead has now been added to the California COVID-19 Rent Relief program which can be accessed through Housing Is Key (ca.gov) by any San Bernardino County resident seeking rental assistance. Through this website, San Bernardino County residents may also apply for the new California Mortgage Relief Plan if they are behind and/or unable to make mortgage payments due to COVID-19 related hardships. Effective October 1, 2021, CalFresh benefit amounts have been increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and benefits are now usable at select online retailers. The best place to apply for CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and/or CalWORKs is through the online portal at Home | BenefitsCal. Together, we benefit.
Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. with the support of the Bloomington community gathered at Kessler Park to unveil monuments in honor of four committed Bloomington High School Alumni.
The monuments entailed the following:
- A grand concrete monument and a baseball field scoreboard at the Park were named the “Gary Mendoza Memorial Field,” in honor of Mendoza and his legacy at Bloomington Little League.
- Personalized benches in honor of: Evric Gray, Mike Ashman, and Lonell Roberts.
